Choosing the Right Dake Hydraulic Press

The right Dake hydraulic press comes down to tonnage, power type, and how much room you need between the ram and table. Use the guide below to match each model to your work.

Compact Dake Hydraulic Presses

These presses handle up to 30 tons for bearing work, straightening, and general shop pressing. Choose manual for hand control with no power needed, or electric for faster strokes on 110V.

Mid-Range Dake Electric & Manual Hydraulic Presses

These presses run on motor power with hand operation built in, from 20 to 60 tons. Each has a traversing head so you can move the ram across the frame without shifting the work.

Heavy-Duty Dake Electric & Manual Hydraulic Presses

These presses cover 80 to 160 tons for fabrication shops and heavy repair work. All run on 220V three-phase power, so plan for the electrical service and floor space before delivery.

Dake EM-80 Press

  • Capacity: 80 ton
  • Motor: 5-1/2HP, 220V 3-phase
  • Cylinder stroke: 400 mm
  • Ram to table: 0 to 900 mm

Moves into heavy-duty work with 80 tons and a double-acting cylinder for controlled pressing and return.

Dake EM-100 Press

  • Capacity: 100 ton
  • Motor: 5.5HP, 220V 3-phase
  • Ram travel: 15.75"
  • Max ram to table: 35"

Delivers 100 tons with a 40 inch frame for wide weldments and heavy bearing work.

Dake EM-120 Press

  • Capacity: 120 ton
  • Motor: 7-1/2HP, 220V 3-phase
  • Cylinder stroke: 400 mm
  • Ram to table: 0 to 900 mm

Adds capacity and a 1,200 mm press bed for shops pressing large parts on a regular basis.

Dake EM-160 Press

  • Capacity: 160 ton
  • Motor: 7.5HP, 220V 3-phase
  • Ram travel: 15.75"
  • Max ram to table: 35.5"

The largest press in the lineup, built for heavy fabrication with 160 tons and a 61 inch frame.

Dake Hydraulic Presses FAQs

What is the difference between a manual and an electric hydraulic press?

A manual press like the Dake M-20 uses a hand pump and needs no power. It suits occasional pressing work. An electric press like the Dake E-10 uses a motor for faster, steadier strokes. The Dake EM series is both motor and hand operated, so you get both options on one machine.

What size hydraulic press do I need?

Size the press to your heaviest regular job and leave some headroom. Presses from 10 to 30 tons cover bearing work, straightening, and general repair. Presses from 60 to 160 tons suit fabrication shops pressing larger parts. Also check the distance between the ram and table to be sure your parts fit.

What power does a Dake hydraulic press need?

The M-20 and M-30 are manual and need no power. The E-10 runs on 110V single-phase power. The EM series presses run on 220V three-phase power. Dake notes the EM-160 should be wired to main service by a qualified electrician.

What does a traversing head do on a hydraulic press?

A traversing head lets you slide the cylinder side to side along the frame. You can line the ram up over the work without moving a heavy part. The EM-20, EM-30, EM-60, and EM-100 all list a traversing head.
