Powermatic Wood Spindle Shapers FAQs

What is the difference between the PM2700 and the TS29?

The Powermatic PM2700 Spindle Shaper is a standard floor-standing shaper available in 3HP or 5HP on single or three-phase power. The Powermatic TS29 7.5HP Sliding Table Shaper adds an integrated sliding table and runs on 7.5HP three-phase power, making it better suited for larger workpieces and production work.

Do Powermatic shapers come with spindles?

Yes. Both the PM2700 and TS29 include 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4" spindles. The PM2700 also accepts an optional 1" spindle and router collets — see Powermatic Shaper Accessories for available add-ons.

What power is required for the Powermatic TS29?

The TS29 requires three-phase power and is available in a dual-voltage 230/460V configuration or a dedicated 460V configuration. It is not available in single-phase.

What accessories are available for Powermatic shapers?
