View full detailsA resaw bandsaw needs enough cutting height and blade stability to hold a straight line through thick stock. The right model comes down to how tall you need to cut and how much power your shop can supply.
Here are some things to consider when choosing a resaw bandsaw:
Once you know your resaw capacity and available power, comparing blade speed and table features will narrow the field quickly.
Resawing means cutting a board through its thickness to create thinner slices from a single piece of stock. It calls for a taller cutting height and a wider blade than general wood cutting.
Resaw capacity depends on frame design, not just wheel diameter. Most saws in this collection resaw up to 16 inches, while the Laguna 24BX handles boards up to 24 inches tall.
A wider blade with a lower TPI holds a straighter line and clears chips faster during a resaw cut. Check our Bandsaw Blades collection for resaw-specific options.
