Pen mandrels take a lot of pressure at the tailstock, and that pressure can bend the shaft right where it matters most. The Nova 2MT Mandrel Saver fits into your tailstock and lets the mandrel shaft pass through a hollow live center, so it gets support instead of direct pressure. This keeps your pen bushings seated firmly against the center while protecting the mandrel underneath. It works with most pen mandrels on the market with a shaft diameter of .245 inch or smaller.
Note: Pen bushings and pen blanks are not included and are available from your preferred pen supply shop.
