Laguna SMT 19-38 Combination Brush Drum Sander

Are you looking for one machine that can both drum sand and profile sand without swapping equipment?

What if a single sander adjusted its own feed speed to protect your stock from burning or gouging?

Meet the Laguna SMT 19-38 Combination Brush Drum Sander, a cast iron machine built for flat stock and profile work.

With Intellisand feed control and interchangeable drum and brush heads, it adapts to raw wood sanding and finish work alike.

When the machine handles both jobs, you spend less time swapping setups and more time moving stock through your shop.

Laguna SMT 19-38 for Drum and Profile Sanding

Intellisand Technology Adjusts Feed Speed Automatically

Intellisand automatically adjusts conveyor speed based on load to prevent gouging or burning stock. This keeps results consistent even as grain pattern and density change across a piece.

Cast Iron Construction Reduces Vibration

Heavy duty cast iron construction adds strength and rigidity while cutting down on vibration during sanding. A stiffer frame helps produce a more consistent surface across the full pass.

Adjustable Tension Rollers Eliminate Snipe

Tension rollers adjust in height and hold down pressure to keep stock flat as it feeds through the machine. This helps eliminate snipe at the leading and trailing edges of each piece.

Interchangeable Drum and Brush Heads Expand Sanding Options

The machine ships with a flatter head installed and an aluminum drum included, and can also run optional wire and nylon brush heads. Switching heads lets you move between profile sanding and flat stock finishing on the same machine.
