Variable Speed Spindle Covers the Full Range of Milling Work

The spindle runs from 80 to 3,800 RPM without stopping to change gears. You dial in the right speed for each tool and material directly at the machine. Whether you are running a large face mill through steel or spinning a small end mill in aluminum, the right speed is always available without interrupting your workflow.

Automatic Lubrication Reduces Maintenance Demands

The JTM-1254VS runs an automatic lubrication cycle every 180 minutes, delivering 3 to 6cc to the ways and moving surfaces. This keeps the table and knee moving smoothly without relying on the operator to remember manual oiling. Consistent lubrication extends the life of the ways and helps the machine hold its accuracy over time.

Three-Stage Power Downfeed Controls Depth of Cut

The three-stage power downfeed gives you three selectable feed rates — .0015, .003, and .008 inches per revolution — with an automatic stop to end the cut at the depth you set. The quick-nut spindle feed lets you position the quill fast between operations. The heavy-duty spindle brake stops spindle rotation quickly when you need to change tools or inspect your work.
