1-1/2 HP Motor Handles Heavy Grinding Loads
The JBG-10A runs on a 10-amp, 115V motor rated at 1-1/2 HP input power and 745 watts output. That capacity keeps wheel speed steady under moderate pressure, which matters when you are removing material from hardened tool steel or heavier stock. The motor runs at 1,750 RPM, a lower speed than smaller bench grinders in the JBG series, which gives you more control on the wheel face.
Dual 10-Inch Wheels Cover Two Stages of Work
The grinder ships with two 10-inch by 1-inch wheels on a 1-inch bore. One wheel is 24 grit for fast stock removal and reshaping. The other is 46 grit for refining edges and finishing surfaces. Having both grits on the same machine means you move from rough to finish work without stopping to change equipment. Each wheel accepts standard replacement wheels sized to the same 10 x 1 x 1-inch spec.
Adjustable Tool Rests Support Consistent Grinding Angles
Left and right tool rests mount to the wheel housings and adjust to hold clearance within 1/16 inch of the wheel face. That close tolerance keeps the work supported close to the grinding surface, which helps you hold a consistent bevel angle from pass to pass. As wheels wear down, the rests slide in to maintain the same clearance without any special tools beyond a 12mm wrench.
JPS-2A Stand Positions the Grinder for Floor Use
The included JPS-2A stand raises the JBG-10A off the bench and gives you a dedicated floor footprint for the grinder. Mounting the grinder to a stand rather than a workbench keeps your bench surface clear and puts the wheels at a working height suited for standing use. The stand bolts to the grinder base using the machine's existing mounting holes.
