The gear box on the J-8203K is what separates this saw from a standard wood bandsaw. It allows the machine to be used across metal, wood, non-ferrous metal, and plastic cutting applications. Variable Speed Drive Matches Blade Speed to Material
The variable speed drive system lets you dial in the right blade speed for the material you are cutting. Running wood requires different surface feet per minute than cutting metal or plastic. Adjustable Table Handles Angled and Straight Cuts
