Enclosed Gearbox Covers a Wide Threading Range Without Constant Setup
The enclosed gearbox gives you 34 inch thread pitches from 4 to 56 TPI and 26 metric thread pitches from 0.4 to 7mm. You can move between thread types with few gear changes, which keeps setup time short and your workflow moving. The enclosed design also runs quietly and protects the gear train from chips and coolant.
Induction Hardened Ground Bed-Ways Support Accurate Carriage Travel
The bed-ways are induction hardened and precision ground to maintain a consistent surface for the carriage across the full 37-2/5 inch travel. This keeps your cuts repeatable from one end of the bed to the other. Hardened ways also hold up to daily use without wearing in a way that introduces error over time.
Backlash Adjustment on Compound and Cross Slide Keeps Cuts on Target
Both the compound and cross slide include backlash adjustment so you can take up play as the machine wears in. The cross slide gives you 7 inches of travel and the compound gives you 3-1/2 inches. Keeping backlash tight means your tool stays where you set it when you reverse direction or take a finishing pass.
Foot Brake and Emergency Stop Put Control Close at Hand
The built-in foot brake lets you stop the spindle without taking your hands off the work. An emergency stop is positioned within easy reach of the operator for fast shutdown when you need it. The patented electronic chuck key docking station adds a safety interlock that prevents startup unless the chuck key is properly stowed.
