Induction Hardened and Ground Bedway Keeps the Carriage on Track
The bedway on the BDB-929 is induction hardened and precision ground to hold tight tolerances as the carriage moves across 26.5 inches of travel. A hardened surface resists wear over time so the machine stays accurate through repeated use. Backlash adjustments are provided throughout the carriage to help you dial in smooth, consistent motion.
Precision Tapered Roller Bearings Support Clean, Stable Turning
The spindle runs on precision tapered roller bearings that reduce play and support steady cuts across six speed ranges from 130 to 2000 RPM. The MT-3 spindle taper accepts standard tooling, and the 3/4-inch spindle bore handles a practical range of bar stock. Stable spindle support means the tool tracks where you put it.
Quick Change Gearbox Covers a Wide Threading Range
The quick change gearbox gives you access to 27 inch thread pitches from 8 to 56 TPI and 12 metric pitches from 0.5 to 3.5mm without swapping change gears. Power longitudinal feed supports both threading and reverse threading operations. The reversing switch adds flexibility when you need to back the carriage out cleanly.
Full Length Splash Guard and Safety Controls Protect the Operator
A full length splash guard keeps coolant and chips contained during turning operations. The emergency stop is positioned within easy reach so you can shut down quickly when it matters. A safety on/off switch adds a second layer of protection for everyday use.
