55-Ton Hydraulic Force Handles Thick Mild Steel
The IW55 delivers 55 tons of hydraulic force through a 5HP motor running at 3,500 PSI valve pressure. That force moves through a simple vertical stroke, which keeps pressure even across the punch, shear, and notch stations and reduces distortion in the finished cut.
Four Workstations Cover Punch, Shear, Notch, and Bend
The IW55 runs four stations — punch, flat bar shear, angle shear, and an open station — from a single hydraulic center. The open station accepts a wide range of optional tooling including notchers, brakes, rod shears, and pipe notchers, so the machine adapts to the work at hand.
Electric Stroke Control Speeds Production Cycling
The adjustable electric stroke control lets you shorten the up and down stroke to match the material and operation. This reduces cycle time on repeat punching, shearing, and notching runs without sacrificing cut quality.
Optional PowerLink Connects Hydraulic Accessory Tools
PowerLink turns the IW55 into a power source for Edwards hydraulic accessory tools, connecting through quick-disconnect hydraulic fittings and M12 controls on the machine. It is available as an optional upgrade on select configurations for shops that run hydraulic accessory work alongside standard ironworker operations.
