Tormek Coarse Diamond Wheel DC-250 Are damaged or out-of-shape edges slowing you down on your Tormek T-8? What if you could remove steel fast en...
View full detailsAll three Tormek Diamond Wheels hold their shape, so your jig settings stay consistent and your bevel stays true. The main difference is simple: how fast you want to remove steel versus how clean you want the finish off the wheel.
If you’re grinding a new bevel, fixing chips, or working hard steels that feel slow on a stone, start coarser. If you’re mostly maintaining edges and want a cleaner finish with less cleanup time, go finer.
Note: The 250 mm wheels fit the Tormek T-8 and provide more stability on larger tools. The 200 mm wheels fit the T-4, delivering the same performance in a compact form.
Best when you need the wheel to do real work fast and reset a bevel angle cleanly. Use DC if you:
Outcome: Faster bevel shaping. Less waiting and more control.
Best when you want one wheel that handles most sharpening without giving up finish. Use DF if you:
Outcome: Efficient sharpening with a cleaner bevel. Predictable edges with less cleanup.
Best when your bevel is already established and you want the smoothest finish off the wheel. Use DE if you:
Outcome: Refined edges with a smooth, clean bevel. Crisp cuts with minimal grinding.
If you are not sure where to start, these setups cover most sharpening work without overthinking it.
Quick notes: Use very light pressure and let the diamonds do the work. Diamond wheels keep their shape, so do not use the SP-650 Stone Grader or the TT-50 Truing Tool on them.
