  • Swing over bed: 14.25"
  • Between centers: 19-1/4"

Powermatic PM2020 Wood Lathe

The same 20" swing as the PM2020 but with 36" between centers — ideal for turners who regularly work longer stock.

Powermatic 4224B 24" Wood Lathe

  • Swing over bed: 24"
  • Between centers: 42"
  • Motor: 3HP

Powermatic's largest lathe — built for turners who work platters, oversized bowls, and long spindles at high output.

Powermatic Lathes FAQs

What size Powermatic lathe should I start with?

The PM2014 is the best starting point. It runs on 110V, fits benchtop or floor-standing, and handles bowls and spindles well. If you already know you want more capacity, step up to the 3520C.

What is the difference between the PM2020 and the 3520C?

Both offer 20" swing over the bed. The key difference is between-centers capacity, the PM2020 gives you 20" while the 3520C extends to 36". If you turn longer spindles or table legs, the 3520C is the better fit.

Do Powermatic lathes come with a stand?

The PM2014 is available as a lathe only or with a stand. The PM2020, 3520C, and 4224B are all floor-standing models. A separate Powermatic Lathe Stand for PM2014 is also available.

What accessories are available for Powermatic lathes?

We carry a full line of Powermatic Lathe Accessories including bed extensions, toolrests, tailstock swing-aways, outboard turning stands, lights, and more.
