Nova’s DVR (Digital Variable Reluctance) motor is a direct-drive system with no belts or pulleys. It uses onboard software to keep torque steady, reduce vibration, and hold speed under load. The result is smoother drilling, cleaner holes, and simple speed changes.

Can a Nova DVR drill press run Forstner bits, hole saws, and other large bits?

Yes. All Nova drill presses include a 5/8" chuck and variable speed control, which allows you to run common woodworking and metalworking bits— including Forstner bits and hole saws—at their appropriate speeds.
