If you are finishing a wood project where you would like to enhance the depth and color of the wood species you are working with, select one of the vibrant AquaCote Stain colors.
If you are working with an open pore wood, and would like to seal the wood grain from excessive penetration, select our sanding sealer AquaSeal. AquaSeal is designed to penetrate into the wood and builds an easy-sanding surface, that preps the wood for any of the AquaCoat Top Coats. AquaSeal has a slight amber cast and a pleasant smell. We recommend using either 1 heavy coat or 2 light coats.
The vast majority of woodworks professionals and hobbyists, prefer our AquaCote Clear Top Coats , which are available in satin, semi-gloss, and full-gloss sheens. AquaCote Clears can be used on most furniture, cabinets, millworks and woodworking projects. AquaCoat Clears are very easy to use and will product a very hard, durable, clear, non-yellowing, lacquer like finish. It is packaged in quarts, gallons, 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums.
If you are finishing a wood product that will be handled frequently, needs extra mar and scratch resistance or that requires enhanced chemical resistance, or if you’re looking for a hardwood floor finish use AquaThane. AquaThane is a polyurethane blend, that is high solids and low viscosity (HSLV). This makes it easy to use and virtually foolproof in its application. The high solids content will give you a quick build in fewer coats and will serve as its own sealer on less porous and tight grained woods. This product is also a good choice where a crystal clear finish is desired. Application of this product is best suited to a 3 stage turbine or large, HVLP units or conventional spray equipment. This product is offered in satin, semi-gloss and gloss. It is packaged in quarts, gallons, 5 gallons and 55 gallon drums.
If you are looking to create a solid white enamel type of finish on wood or fiber board, we suggest that you start with AquaCote White Primer. This product will provide a rapid build of white color with low grain raise and ease of sanding. It is an excellent base for AquaCote White Satin or Gloss top coats. It is packaged in quarts, gallons, 5 gallons and 55 gallon drums.
AquaCote White is a beautiful, pure white topcoat that provides excellent resistance to water and chemicals. A good product for white furniture, wicker, louvers, shutters and white cabinets. AquaCote White can be tinted to produce a variety of exciting colors.
Use our AquaCote Black as a self-sealing, black topcoat, where a strong and mar-resistant black lacquer or enamel type finish is desired. This product offers excellent water and chemical resistance. Its high solids offer excellent hiding and quick build. Pianos and black wood products would be excellent applications for AquaCote Black. Available in satin and gloss. It is packaged in quarts, gallons, 5 gallons and 55 gallon drums.
If you work in low humidity or in high temperature environments, you might want to consider having AquaCote Reducer on hand. This will lower the viscosity of your product and retain the chemical balance not possible by using plain water. This product is also helpful to enhance atomization with smaller HVLP turbine systems and to retain film wetness when spraying large surface areas. This product is available in quarts and gallons.
A excellent product to have on hand is AquaCote Wood Prep . Often, surface contaminates can cause problems between coating applications. A simple wipe of the surface with a dampened lint free cloth with AquaCote Wood Prep will minimize or eliminate any intercoat bonding problems that may occur. Note: This product is not for use on raw wood surfaces. It is available in quarts and gallons.
You may have need to fill the grain of open pore woods to minimize top coat applications. Use AquaCote Clear Grain Filler for these occasions. This is an easy to use clear wood grain filler that dries quickly and sands easily. By adding a small amount of universal tint concentrate, AquaCote Clear Grain Filler can be made into a either a glaze or gel stain. Available in quarts.
If you have nail holes, surface imperfections and small gouges in your wood use AquaCote Putty . This will ensure a flat smooth surface for your finish. This product dries quickly, sands extremely easy and will accept stain.
If you want to produce a beautiful high gloss surface, use AquaCote Polish. Available in 8oz., pints, and quarts.
When you finish working and want a non-flammable, environmentally friendly spray gun and equipment cleaner, we suggest AquaCote Equipment Cleaner. This product will remove hardened acrylic finish and can be strained and reused until the strength is depleted. AquaCote Equipment Cleaner can be mixed 50/50 with water to make an excellent, general purpose cleaner.
